Daily Health Score — Privacy Policy

Developer: Matthew Curtis Fieleke (“we,” “us,” or “the developer”)

App: Daily Health Score (native iOS application)

This policy describes how Daily Health Score handles information when you use the app. It is written for App Store users and privacy reviewers.

Summary

The app reads sleep, dietary fiber, and exercise minutes from Apple Health (with your permission).
Scores and history are stored on your device.
We do not require an account, and this version does not upload your health data to our servers.
You can export or clear local data in Settings.

Information the app accesses

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, the app reads:

Health type	Purpose
Sleep Analysis (asleep)	Calculate sleep hours and sleep score for each day
Dietary Fiber	Calculate fiber intake and fiber score for each day
Apple Exercise Time	Calculate exercise minutes and exercise score for each day

The app uses HealthKit’s read-only access for these types. It does not write health data to Apple Health unless a future version clearly states otherwise in the app and this policy.

You control access through iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Daily Health Score.

Data stored on your device

The app stores locally, on your iPhone:

Daily scores and metric values derived from Health data
Your goal settings (sleep hours target, fiber target, etc.)
Suggestions shown for each day
Optional SMART goals and check-in state
App preferences (e.g. rotation of encouragement/motivation text)

Local retention is limited to approximately 90 days of daily records, after which older records may be removed by the app’s storage rules.

Notifications (optional)

If you enable notifications for the app, iOS may deliver local reminders related to SMART goals you create. Notification permission is optional and controlled in iOS Settings.

What we do not collect

In the current version of the app:

We do not require you to create an account.
We do not operate a cloud backend that receives your Health metrics.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app for cross-app tracking (as of this policy date).

How information is used

Information is used only to:

Display your daily score and metric breakdown
Show rolling 7 / 30 / 90-day summaries
Suggest a primary focus and daily tips
Support optional SMART goals and reminders
Let you export or delete data you control in Settings

We do not share your Health data with third parties for marketing.

Apple provides HealthKit and processes data according to Apple’s policies when you use Apple Health on your device.

If you use export in Settings, you choose where exported files go (e.g. Files, email, AirDrop). That transfer is under your control.

Data retention and deletion

On device: Records are kept for about 90 days, then pruned according to app logic.
Delete: Use in-app Settings to clear local app data.
Revoke Health access: Use iOS Health privacy settings; the app will no longer read new Health data.

Uninstalling the app removes app-local data from your device subject to iOS behavior and backups.

Children’s privacy

Daily Health Score is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will help address it.

Security

Health data is processed on your device. Protect your iPhone with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We cannot guarantee security of data if your device is compromised or if you share exported files.

International users

The app is designed for use on your device. If you use the app outside your home country, Apple Health and local laws may still apply to how you manage health information on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes, we may also note them in App Store release notes.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because data stays on your device in this version, you can:

View data in the app
Export data from Settings
Clear data from Settings
Revoke Health permissions in iOS
